It’s best to consult your doctor and/or physician, along with your father, before the operation. Make sure he’s away of the lifestyle changes he will have to make, etc. Best of luck.
Liposuction doesn’t work well for an aged person becos the skin elasticity is really not there and skin elasticity is the most important factor to achieve good results in liposuction…….
And consider your dad has a lot of fat to remove, it’s very risky to remove a large amount of fat at one time……and he can’t do liposuction on the same area often; the surgery becomes difficult and the results are "harder" to achieve due to the skin becoming uneven……
I suggest you consider a healthier diet for him and start an exercise program for him. Doesn’t have to be drastic changes; just small changes in diet like less salt; less fat; less sugary stuff…. and exercise (walking is the best for him….) say for 15-20 mins per session, 3-4 times per week, for a start.
When he’s more comfortable with the small changes in diet and exercise, add more, one at a time.
Exercise and a healthy diet go a long, long way to root out the health problem he has, not liposuction.
