Myths About Non-Surgical Treatments: Part Two: Dysport / Azzalure, Dermal Fillers, Botox, Vaser Lipo

Posted in Liposelection on January 2nd, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

If you’re considering cosmetic treatments, you may be concerned about some of the myths surrounding the non-surgical alternatives to traditional surgical procedures. In this article, the second part of our explanation of the myths about non-surgical treatments, we’ll look at the fact behind the fiction:

Myth 6: Dysport/Azzalure is even better than Botox.

TRUTH: Dysport/Azzalure is about as effect as Botox in the long run. Both are injectable forms of the Botulism Toxin. Dysport acts a little faster and is often a little bit cheaper. Dysport is available in Europe, although it has not yet received FDA approval for use in the USA. Botox is still the most popular and trusted form of cosmetic treatment in the world.

Myth 7: Because of Dermal Fillers and Botox, Traditional Facelifts are no longer necessary.

TRUTH: It’s true that dermal fillers and Botox do work some minor miracles. But they don’t work permanently and eventually your skin ages to a point where it needs some help from a surgical facelift if you really want to halt the aging process. The great thing about dermal fillers and Botox is that they create fantastic results with very little downtime. Until the time comes when you need a real facelift, why not try the other safe, effective alternatives?

Myth 8: Customers should be able to pick the dermal filler of their choice.

TRUTH: It’s true that there’s been an explosion of dermal fillers available on the market. However, it’s the cosmetic experts that should choose the right dermal filler product for you. They’re the specialists in what type of dermal filler is best to use, so leave the decision down to a cosmetic enhancement specialist with years of experience and expertise.

Myth 9: Laser Liposuction is the better alternative to Traditional Lipo.

TRUTH: Laser Liposuction isn’t really a better alternative to Traditional Lipo, it is good at working on small areas, but it can cause skin burns if it is not used with expert precision. It’s vital if you’re going to have any kind of lipo that you use a cosmetic specialist, a doctor with an excellent reputation and years of experience and expertise. There is an alternative to both Laser and Traditional Lipo, it’s called VASER Lipo, and it uses ultrasound technology to break up the fat without damaging the surrounding tissue. If you’re looking for an alternative, VASER could be for you.

Myth 10: There are now ways to defeat cellulite permanently.

TRUTH: Unfortunately there are no permanent ways of combating cellulite. All the present cosmetic treatments are only temporary. Cellulite is a by-product of natural hormones in your body. These hormones control the fat distribution throughout the body and unfortunately most women have cellulite regardless of their state of health, fitness or weight.
