Is VASER Liposuction Any Better?

Posted in Vaser Liposuction on November 19th, 2010 by – Be the first to comment

The latest method of liposuction is called the VASER system and, for certain areas of the body, it is the best option. Since the system was approved by the FDA in 2002, there have been over 70 thousand procedures done with no serious complications reported.

The VASER system, manufactured by Sound Surgical Technologies, is a third generation ultrasound assisted liposuction (UAL) device. The big change from earlier UAL devices is that this one actually targets fat cells while not disturbing nerves, blood vessels or connective tissue. The VASER system allows the surgeon to use lower power ultrasound waves in areas where the fat cells are close to other types of tissue.

The Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance (or VASER) system procedures have the advantages of better skin retraction, smoother skin and less recovery time. Instead of just reducing circumference, this new system enables the surgeon to actually sculpt the body in ways that were not possible before. Using this system, the surgeon can be so efficient and precise that previously unreachable fat deposits can be delicately removed while important connective tissue and blood vessels is left intact.

This system allows the surgeon to operate on the most delicate areas of the body, like the inner thighs, back, chin, neck and arms. Surgeons have reported that this system produces low to minimal amounts of pain in patients, while keeping swelling and bruising to a minimum. This allows surgeons to use traditional liposuction on larger areas of fat and the new system on more delicate areas.

I found that, after calling a few plastic surgery clinics in my town, that there were several qualified surgeons to choose from, and you will probably have no problem finding several. I also found a few liposuction clinics that specialize in this procedure, so there are probably specialists in your area also.

What is Cool Lipo?

Ever wonder how many different procedures are available for removing unwanted fat and loose skin from the body? Ever wonder if you are a candidate for different liposuction procedures? Are liposuction procedures even covered by medical insurance?

There are a variety of different liposuction procedures available today for people around the world. One of those procedures is called Cool Lipo. This procedure is less invasive than the majority of other liposuction procedures and is used to remove fatty tissues from various parts of the body. The areas of the body most commonly operated on with this procedure are under the chin and any other regions that standard liposuction procedures cannot treat.

Most candidates for Cool Lipo are patients that cannot have small areas of fat removed from their body by regular exercise and regular dieting. This procedure does not include general anesthesia. Even though this procedure is very popular in women it is also popular in men too, especially when male breast reduction is involved.

A laser is used during the Cool Lipo procedure by a cosmetic surgeon after a local anesthesia is applied to the area that will be worked on. After a routine waiting period, the doctor will then use the laser to release energy on the area of the body where the fat needs to be removed.

This procedure is considering a cosmetic procedure and is not covered by medical insurance, which means that the patient will need pay out of pocket for the procedure. The procedure, for one session, usually runs for a cost of $1,000 or more.

Non Surgical Liposuction Treatment Options

Posted in Vaser Liposuction on June 6th, 2010 by Carl Clark – Be the first to comment

Non surgical liposuction is something that is changing the way people think about cosmetic surgery. Often times in the past only people that had a good deal of money to spend and were willing to go under the knife were the ones that were taking part in liposuction. Since it is considered to be a pretty major surgery and requires you to be put out fully with anesthetics there are many different things that can go wrong during the surgical procedure. If you’re interested in learning about ways to avoid this completely and to take part in noninvasive types of liposuction that do not involve surgery then you will want to continue reading on.

Some of these alternative options include things such as Vaser liposuction, which is a type of ultrasonic liposuction that uses special ultrasound machines to break up the fatty tissues within the body. The second alternative is lipodissolve, which involves a process of receiving multiple injections of a chemical solution that is designed to dissolve the fatty tissue within the body. A third alternative is called Smart lipo and is also called laser liposuction. This treatment option uses a high-intensity laser that is designed to liquefy the fat inside of the body. As you can see none of these treatment options involve any type of cutting open or sticking anything inside of your body in order to actually remove the fat. While it may be true that these treatment options maybe won’t provide the immediate results that liposuction does, over time these can prove to be just as good.

Another thing to consider is the cost savings that these alternatives may have over actual liposuction. It can be much cheaper to receive several of these non surgical liposuction treatments than it can to undergo the real liposuction surgery. These are all great alternative to liposuction options for you to pick from.

Its always good to read additional information when conducting research about non surgical liposuction. Our website offers lots more information about alternative to liposuction as well.

Prices For Cosmetic Surgery Have Fallen Significantly – Latest Updates!

Posted in Liposelection on June 3rd, 2010 by Kanchana D – Be the first to comment

There has been a steady rise in the number of people seeking cosmetic surgery in UK. The prices for cosmetic surgeries in UK have declined slightly in 2009 according to a survey. The figures depict the trend. The US might have experienced a 12 per cent decrease in the number of surgical and non surgical cosmetic treatments. However, it has been found that the UK experienced a 5 per cent increase in demand from 2007 to 2008, and a 9 per cent increase from 2008 to 2009.

Moreover the UK plastic surgery industry reached a total market value of GBP536 million by the end of 2008. The primary reason for this being addition of new products and services that offer effective results. The positive trends are also known to have resulted due to constant advancements in the field of technology. Considerably, the prices of various cosmetic procedures have come down.

An increasing number of men are undergoing cosmetic surgery of late. They have become more aware of their physical bodies and are undergoing the procedure. Though, it is true that cosmetic surgery is associated with women, it is fast catching up with men. Men do not lag behind undergoing cosmetic surgery. They do it for various reasons. They wish to look great and change their looks. You can know more about cosmetic surgery for men, its side effects, if any. You can get an insight into each procedure, including details of the operation and anticipated recover time.

There are various kinds of cosmetic surgeries:

o Body Surgery
o Pectoral Implants
o Male Chest Reduction
o Tummy Tucks/Abdominoplasty
o Liposuction/Body Sculpting
o Calf Implants
o Thigh Lift
o Full Body Lift
o Arm Lift
o Varicose Veins
o Orthopaedic Surgery
o Obesity Surgery
o Weight Loss Treatments

Before undergoing the surgery, one must make sure the procedure is completely safe. You must make a pre-operative visit to the clinic. You must discuss all the doubts and make sure you are prepared for the surgery mentally and physically.

There is a subtle distinction between liposuction and Vaser. What distinguishes LipoSelection is its ability to differentiate body fat from tissues that are best left undisturbed. This includes nerves, blood vessels and connective tissues. On the other hand, the Liposelection treatment removes the fat, but leaves your other tissues intact. What happens after the procedure is your skin retracts smoothly and evenly after the procedure. It minimises pain and bruising that is mostly associated with fat removal. Most of the patients are known to recover fast and resume normal activities.
